Battery stops holding charge in a year

This is great if you want a disposable vacuum. I loved everything about my CSV vac. Lightweight, inexpensive, compact… until about 14 months after I got it and once it was out of warranty, the vac would immediately shut off in “high” mode. Tried to charge it again, same thing. Within a week, it wouldn’t even hold a charge in “eco” mode. Emailed Kenmore — they said I had to call a some other company, and that company said I my warranty was done in a year. I asked if I could buy a replacement battery and they said nope. Everyone seems to love their cordless Kenmores for a year until the battery won’t hold charge anymore. Since my call with customer service, I’ve seen tons of complaints about these things when the battery dies and there’s no one to help and no way to buy a new battery. What a waste of money. Otherwise it’s fantastic for 14 months.

First one did not work, got a replacement. This one only holds a charge for about 10 minutes before suction begins to fall off

Suction at full power is good, not great, we use it for stairs and the master bathroom and it performs well for that task

Not for Dust

The product specs highlighted the vacuum suction was 18Kpa. Other Kenmore models were rated only 8Kpa. We expected this unit to perform better. We tried to use the vacuum on floor dust without any good results. I would not recommend this unit.

Does not work well with pet hair

I have all wood & tile floors and this vacuum did not pick up basic dust. It basically spread it around . I do not have carpet so I am unable to tell how it does on that surface. I am keeping the vacuum to use in my motorhome as it will do an ok job in there. I do not recommend if you have pets.
